Four compounds namely 3.3 -dihydroxy chalcone, macrophylloside, PM-F and PM-F2 were new while 2 -methoxy flavone and 3 - methoxy flavone are reported for the first time from the family Primulaceae and are very rare. - sitosterol, -sitosterol glucoside and flavone are reported for the first time from this plant in this part of the world.
