For a few moments, the world wasn't on the brink of chaos or oblivion. Then one small favor changes everything. It all starts with an unpaid café bill, but unfortunately, this particular café runs on a supernatural license. Now ancient debt collectors are stomping through Dublin - and a very human woman has stumbled right into their crossfire.

Detectives Aiden Moss and Loch Doyle are dragged into a knot of contracts, secrets and a dash of spite. A young fairy waitressing at the café hints that trouble's brewing behind the espresso machine, and soon the duo discovers that debt collection is harder than you think. Even though Loch truly believes love will find a way, it might have to take the road less traveled to get there. Plus, they might be chased by monsters on the way, and several spells might be a small problem. And their biggest problem is penalty-of-death big.
