After catching Rosemary off guard and destabilising the group, Veronika and Rosemary are forced into a hospital where the latter is now unconscious and waiting for a miraculous recovery. But safety does not come easily... and especially not without a cost.

The Hunters' attack has all but convinced them of their safety. Coming back home might be the only way to safety, but not without Rosemary. With no end in sight, a mysterious man convinces Veronika to commit an act that could save her friend. But to her surprise, nothing is as it seems.
