Although this is a personal memoir, in which Janice offers a captivating glimpse into her childhood growing up in post-war Britain, posing her vivid memories of everyday life in the 1950s, it is set into the context of the major National and International events and seismic changes in attitudes which have fashioned the world we know today.

From a working-class terraced house in Nuneaton, Janice charts her progression from school to university; working life, marriage in the ´70s, family, the sadness and upheaval of divorce to the joy of a wonderful midlife romance and second marriage. She also explores the consequences of some of the most dramatic worldwide changes to occur in any single lifespan.

Moving from the isolation of lockdown and the devastating loss of her husband to a new aspect on life; she reflects on resilience, transformation, and the power of taking bold steps toward healing and hope.
