This book was not written to answer every question, but to sit honestly with one that many faithful people eventually face. If you are reading these pages, there's a good chance you didn't arrive here by accident. Something in you recognized the question before it was fully spoken.
I want you to know from the beginning that this is not a book of shortcuts or spiritual guarantees. It is not an argument for why the journey takes as long as it does, nor an attempt to rush meaning out of time. It is simply an offering of language for a place many of us occupy quietly—the space between where we started and where we still believe God is leading.
As a pastor, I have learned that faith does not always move in straight lines. It matures in pauses, in detours, and in seasons where clarity comes slowly. This book reflects that reality. It does not hurry you forward or pull you backward. It acknowledges where you are and trusts that God is already present there.
If these pages help you stay honest, stay faithful, and stay open a little longer, then they have done their work.
