Public healthcare generally refers to government funded health-care services available to all members of the population. The main objective of MoHFW at the national level is to facilitate effective and efficient administration by the states and the local health authorities. India's public healthcare system follows centralized planning and policy making along with decentralized implementation. At the national level, the govt. persuades the states to work towards specific health objective and priorities. It also provides the necessary technical support for this.
