English summary: The Treaty on Stability, Coordination and Governance within the Economic and Monetary Union and decisions concerning its remodeling raise many questions with regard to the terms and benefits of a reform of the contractual foundations of the EU. The key issues discussed in this volume are the instruments and procedures governing a "genuine" economic and monetary union, the political and legal requirements for a federally based fiscal union as well as their possible consequences and benefits. In essence, this title addresses the strengthening of economic governance of the Eurozone as well as looking at the economic and legal conditions necessary for its sustainable and long-term stabilization.
