The club was tucked away in the shadows of larger, more ornate historic buildings. I was here for my sister Nikki. She was writing an article about sex clubs — actually more like a review. Nikki was an editor of Let's Talk Sex Clubs magazine. I know it's not exactly an original name, but I guess you know what to expect when reading it. The Library was a sex club with a side of BDSM and a membership-only club, but tonight it was Masquerade and an open party if you had an invitation. The owners invited Nikki.

Once inside, my mouth fell open, and my eyes jumped from one wall to the next. Lights pulsed, music pounded, and my heart hammered in my chest. This was unlike anything I'd ever seen before. I was not innocent or naïve, but this was a new experience. I followed Nikki's tight, leather-clad body, pushing her way through the crowd. Multicolored lights that flashed against the dark walls surrounded us. They briefly shone into the shadowed alcoves where couples were joined in various erotic positions. Unaware of the crowd and the surrounding noise. We finally made it to the front, where dozens of people were pressed against the metal railing.

The railing prevents the crowd from going onto the circular stage.

Nikki pulled on my arm. "Come on, Mia, you can't see from behind me."

I shook my head. "It's alright. I can see fine from here."

"Huh?" Nikki yelled back.

"I'm fine right here," I repeated louder.

Nikki grinned and yanked me in front of her.

"Nikki!" I yelled over my shoulder, giggling.

Then I felt the cold metal of the rail against my bare stomach because the crowd was surging forward. Instantly, my eyes were captivated by the scene in front of me. Chains were suspended from the ceiling, swaying to the beat. Along the far wall stood three massive wooden crosses, and bound to these crosses were different pairs of women and men.
