Description

Christmas has finally come to Longbourn, but Elizabeth Bennet's year has been anything but celebratory. Now that her elder sister Jane is engaged, Mrs. Bennet is understandably worried about Elizabeth's unwillingness to accept proposals from no less than two worthy gentlemen. Rumors are bound to spread, and Mrs. Bennet will not be satisfied unless her eldest daughters are both engaged by the New Year.

Mr. Bingley's Christmas Ball to announce his engagement to Jane is to be held on Christmas Day, and all of Hertfordshire is invited... there would be no better time for another engagement to be announced. And if Mrs. Bennet has her way, Elizabeth will be engaged to the nearest available bachelor.

Elizabeth must come to to terms with her duty to her parents, and her own desires. As she stares into the fire on Christmas Eve, a wish is formed in her heart, one that seems too impossible to believe, but one that might yet be within her reach.
