Nacktheit - das bedeutet in der mittelalterlichen Literatur vielfach die Erscheinung bzw. die Inszenierung eines weiblichen Korpers im fragilen Kleid, dem hemde. Die Autorin untersucht spezifische Szenen der hofischen Epik, in denen der weibliche Korper im weissen Hemd gezeigt wird. Es geht ihr um Szenen der Entblossung und Verhullung einer weiblichen Figur. Der Stoff - das Hemd - liegt der biologischen Korperhulle, der Haut, am nachsten und ist verdeckende Umhullung und diaphane Oberflache zugleich. Die Studie zeigt, dass das Hemd als symbolische und symbolisierte Ausdrucks- und Zeichenflache fungiert, uber die der Korper der Figur semantisiert wird.
