Robert Seamus McAwen Eason the Fifth—a.k.a. Sean—is the last of his line.

With the rest of his family dead or missing, he has inherited Awen Manor in the rolling hills of Ireland. Tempted by the money, jewels, and precious metals he discovers in a hidden room, Sean dreams of returning to Canada a very wealthy man and quitting his accounting job.

Then he hears the voices that lead him to find a talisman and a shield. Sure he will be locked up soon, he obeys the voice of the talisman and walks through Dawn Gate where he meets his guides Vageli the Valiant and Shadow. He also meets the Lady of the Talisman, Brighid, when she appears in their campfire and gives him Calibur. The twin sword to Excalibur.

The Realm of Light is in jeopardy from being attacked by the Demon King and Sean, by default of his lineage, is the Queen's Champion. The only man who can help save not only the Queen's Realm, but his own as well.
