Description

India is a country rich in both culture and controversy. From its beginning with the Indus River Valley civilization and its time as a British colony to its fight and victory for full independence, India has had a long and varied history. Students will learn about Mohandas Gandhi and the Salt March, the Hindu and Buddhist religions, and the Taj Mahal, among many other wonders. They will draw the Bengal tiger, the lotus flower, and the lovely sari, India's traditional clothing, as they learn about the geography, economy, and customs of the country.
