The model proposed, is expected to result in increased competitiveness and sustainability for industries, as well as the commercial success of their products. A change in the strategic positioning of their projects is suggested, encouraging the novelty to the market using innovative tools. The research was conducted using multiple sources of evidence, state-of-the-art of product development and diverse innovative methods. The innovation factor invariably contributes to the global competitiveness, as well as to the economic viability of many SMEs.
