This construction takes as its basis an image of Jesus, which is significantly different from the established view of Jesus- the Savior, which has dominated Christianity for nearly two-thousand years as well as the Protestant (Calvinist) developed view of Jesus- the Entrepreneur. The gospel proclaimed by Jesus is conceived as a secular message to the poor, underprivileged, and needy which is based in charity, solidarity, and compassion. The history of social welfare as well as current diaconal and charitable welfare organizations show the difficulties that these visions of Jesus have with regard to social practice. Dieser Konstruktion liegt ein Jesusbild zugrunde, das sich von der gangigen, beinahe zweitausend Jahre das Christentum beherrschenden These "Jesus - der Erloser" und der im Protestantismus (Calvinismus) entwickelten These "Jesus - der Entrepreneur" deutlich unterscheidet.
