Deze publicatie neemt je mee in de groepstentoonstelling Modelling Life, die van 30 maart tot 24 augustus 2025 te zien was in Z33. Met werk van veertien Belgische en internationale kunstenaars onderzocht de tentoonstelling modelleren als een instrument voor wereldvorming en zelfontwikkeling.

De tentoonstelling toonde werk van Kasper Bosmans, Christiane Blattmann, Pablo Bronstein, Jakob Brugge, Helen Chadwick, Sara Deraedt, Caroline Van den Eynden, Robert Gober, Joseph Grigely, Atiéna R. Kilfa, Mark Manders, Park McArthur, Diane Simpson en Rosemarie Trockel. Modelling Life werd gecureerd door Kevin Gallagher.

Voor deze publicatie interviewde Isabel Van Bos de drie kunstenaars die nieuw werk voor de tentoonstelling realiseerden: Kasper Bosmans, Christiane Blattmann en Jakob Brugge. Hun rondetafelgesprek belicht de verschillende manieren waarop zij hun werk benaderen en nieuwe kunstwerken voor Modelling Life hebben gemaakt.

This publication takes you inside the group exhibition Modelling Life, which was on view at Z33 from 30 March – 24 August 2025. With a selection of 14 Belgian and international artists, the exhibition explored modelling as a tool for world-building and self formation.

Their roundtable discussion reflects on the artists’ respective approaches to making work and their commissions for the Modelling Life exhibition.
