Thomas Sanders and Virginia Wallace were bonded together in the past due to a bet, but each one continued their path thinking that what happened wouldn't affect their lives.
However, five years later, they found each other again in a remote town near Texas. During that time, Thomas has been trying to recover from the aftermath of his marital breakdown, which led him to destruction.
