These are the 21 lessons I learned on my spiritual path through cancer. 21 is an important number. Some say it is the number of Spiritual Masters, of the harmony of Creation, of renewal, of the responsibility and maturity of the individual, that there are 21 attributes of wisdom and the word Angel was pronounced by Jesus 21 times. Also, healers say that it takes 21 days to break a habit. We have a habit (in this society)of thinking of cancer as a scary death pronouncement that leads to fear, depression and anger. Sometimes this makes us doubt God and our purpose. Sometimes it makes us become harder on ourselves, instead of leading us to more Grace and Love. What follows are lessons that helped me transition from fear to love while on my cancer path. I hope it will inspire you too! I wanted to create a short picture book that you could flip through while you were in the hospital; one that would not require a ton of brain power but would lift your spirits. Do not give up. If I can get through my year of treatment so can you!
