The football game had already started, and my buddies were all sitting around the couch with me. We had joked about betting during the game, but I did not know where we would take this. My wife, Rachel, had brought in the snacks for the game earlier, and my best friend joked our wives should be on the table as part of the bet. I never pictured Rachel being game for something like this, but she said she wanted to. So now, I wasn't sure who I was rooting for, the team I bet on, or the opponents. Either way, I would win something. Only time would tell if this was a good deal for me or my buddies.
