Keith Doyle believes in magic, but even he is taken aback to find little people living in the basement of his university library. The Master, head of the small village, admits him as a student to a class that meets in secret. Keith is grateful for the additional education, and delighted to meet the Folk, as they call themselves. But Keith has been active in the movement to tear down the old library and build a new one. With a little magic and a lot of ingenuity, Keith tries to help his newfound friends to keep from being discovered.
