Karen's involvement with Junior Chamber International became the defining framework of her leadership journey. Her international work across Africa and Asia profoundly shaped her worldview, reinforcing her belief that material success matters far less than quality of life, connection and contribution.

As an internationally accredited trainer and coach, Karen has mentored countless individuals, from emerging leaders to elite athletes. Her Speak Up for Sport program equips young athletes with communication, mindset and professional skills essential for modern sport. Despite financial hardship and personal challenges, Karen has consistently responded with resilience, adaptability and optimism.
