The thesis demonstrates the operation of a solar based standalone power system with battery storage capabilities. Stochastic nature of solar energy and abrupt nature of load demand requires an optimal power management technique to ensure the efficiency of the system. The reliability of the system can be predicted by its ability to maintain power balance between the system components while fulfilling the desired performance criteria.
