The dead mother of my fifteen-year-old son Ace has just re-emerged from her grave. Or, that's what I first believe when she appears at the gate to our clubhouse. But she's not a ghost, she's my ex's twin, and as such stakes a claim as Ace's aunt.

I've more than one reason to be suspicious of her, especially as she quickly finds a place in Ace's heart - what child wouldn't be intrigued about someone with such a close link to the mother he never got to know?

My track record with women hasn't been great. Since I got sole responsibility for Ace when he was six months old, I've only had one-night stands or have been with the club girls. I never wanted to get involved in another relationship.

But the more I see Toni, the more I like her. I even begin to think of the impossible, about making her mine.

Toni has charmed both Ace and me, but others harbour suspicions of her. I can understand Ace's grandmother being cautious, but why the hell should a club girl stick her nose where it's not wanted?

What threat could Toni be to either my son or I?
