This Iron Age civilization ranged from Nigeria to the Sahel region and held influence over much of West Africa for roughly 2000 years. The Nok Kingdom traded with Berbers, early Arabians and others. By all regards, its most tumultuous period was the Era of the Queens. After the death of her husband King Yashua Olafemi, Queen Biola the Great seized power.
