Beryl must go on a quest to collect elemental orbs that are guarded by magical creatures for the Baroness. To make things more complicated, she's not the only aspiring-knight to be given this mission--and the Baroness will only sponsor one of them. When Beryl retrieves her first orb and meets a phoenix dragon named Chrysanthemum, she begins to learn more about the guardian creatures and the realm called Haven they come from. By the end of her quest, Beryl--and you, the reader--will need to make choices about where and with whom your loyalties lie and what kind of hero you want to become.
