Perry has an odd habit of examining the cast off shoes at the store where he works. He is trying to work on his analytical acumen. When a lightning strikes outside a pair of shoes appears on the free shelf. Once Perry puts them on his future is suddenly clear. He becomes Soleman. A detective hidden behind a mask. He takes a friend he recently met and makes him his partner Flats. Together they solve crimes, meet unusual criminals including one very attractive female called Pussyfoot who steals a golden slipper and Soleman's heart. When the Chief of Police turns to crime as the Big Toe it's up to Soleman and Flats to put their best foot forward and give crime the boot. With an unusual range of shoe based weapons and a vehicle that becomes the Treadnaught they are ready to but their best foot forward.
