Jahrhunderts bieten einen bedeutenden Einblick in die Rezeption der reformatorischen Veranderungen und das erstarkende Selbstbewusstsein der Burgerinnen und Burger im Sinne des Priestertums aller Getauften. Anhand dieses Quellenmaterials setzt sich die vorliegende Studie mit der Transformation des Stiftungswesens unter Berucksichtigung der Vielfalt der Reformation auseinander. Ein besonderes Augenmerk gilt dabei den religiosen Argumentationsmustern und der Frage, inwiefern sich Stiftungen als Gaben verstehen lassen. English summary: The deeds of foundation and the testaments of the 16th and early 17th century give an important insight into the adoption of the reformational changes and the growing self-confidence of the townswomen and townsmen in terms of the "priesthood of all baptized". This study examines the transformation of the medieval foundations considering the plurality of the Reformation. The religious arguments and the question in what way foundations might be described as gifts are focused in particular.
