Stoney Hawk was a female private investigator who dealt with helping abused women in her own way of doing things. One day in her office a man came in with an unusual request, to protect Santa Clauses who he hired out. A rival company was threatening his Santas and he wanted it stopped. Stoney took the case and called her unofficial partner, Avery, a big former mob enforcer. Then Stoney got a visit from an old flame from the FBI in regards to catching a serial killer. Stoney was to be bait for the killer. She agreed and then her and Avery plotted their plans for both cases. This is the third book of the Stoney Hawk series and is a Novella, shorter than a novel, but longer than a short story.
