Based on newly developed methods by the author, who is the inventor of HASM methods, this handbook bridges the gap between the mathematical-oriented theory of surface modeling and the user-oriented application where the user is actually able to retrieve information on the method itself. Big-error problem and slow-efficiency problem are two critical challenges currently facing geographical information system (GIS) and computer-aided design (CAD). This book aim to find solutions to these problems. It provides readers with methods for surface modeling on high accuracy and high speed and their application examples using MATLAB and C++.
