Naar aanleiding van de Virga Jessefeesten 2024 opende Z33 de heringerichte Paardsdemerkapel opnieuw voor het publiek. Met een kleurrijke kunstinstallatie kreeg de lang ‘verborgen’ plek een nieuwe aantrekkingskracht midden in de stad. Hiervoor werkte Z33 samen met het architectenduo Pauline Clarot & Leander Venlet en kunstenaar Amber Andrews. Drie auteurs – Koen Van Synghel, Maarten Delbeke en Tamara Beheydt – verkennen dit unieke project elk vanuit hun eigen blik. Ze nemen je enthousiast mee in een respectievelijk historische, filosofische en antropologische lezing van dit unieke stukje erfgoed aan het Hasseltse Begijnhof.

On the occasion of the Virga Jessefeesten 2024, Z33 reopened the newly renovated Paardsdemer Chapel to the public. With a colorful art installation, this long “hidden” site has gained new appeal in the heart of the city. For this project, Z33 collaborated with the architectural duo Pauline Clarot & Leander Venlet and artist Amber Andrews. Three authors – Koen Van Synghel, Maarten Delbeke, and Tamara Beheydt – each explore this unique project from their own perspective. They enthusiastically guide the reader through, respectively, a historical, philosophical, and anthropological interpretation of this exceptional piece of heritage at the Hasselt Beguinage.
