Crispin the crocodile lives in a warm, swampy jungle where the sun blazes every day. But unlike the other crocodiles, Crispin has a very unusual dream—he wants to see snow! Everyone in the swamp thinks he's being silly. "Snow? For a crocodile?" they laugh. But Crispin's heart is set on adventure.

With his loyal (and sometimes grumpy) friend Luma the Toucan and the clever little Poko the Turtle, Crispin sets off on a journey far from home. Along the way, they paddle wild rivers, get lost in a forest of echoes, and climb chilly mountains where they meet Greta the Goat—a bouncing, mischievous guide. At the snowy peaks, Crispin finally experiences the magic of falling snowflakes, snowball fights, and sliding down frosty slopes.
