Description

The purpose of creating this journal is because I wanted to share my prayers, activities, and quotes that I created for myself which supported me through my heartache, loss, pain, life disappointments, and despair. These prayers, practices, and activities also supported me in reminding me of who I am and whose I am. There were points in my life where I experienced many relationship failures, pivots in my career, and transitions that didn't feel good that made me feel uncomfortable. Life hit me hard when I experienced loss. In dealing with the excruciating pain of loss, it took me to a place where I was about to commit suicide. I got close to the ledge of the Hudson River in New York, I was about to jump, but God saved me with a phone call from my son. It was after that incident; I knew I had to do something for myself to nurse me back to health. In partnership with going to therapy, reading scripture, mediation, worshipping God, attending church and Bible Study, creating practices/activities, and journaling, etc., it provided me with what I needed to evolve from that pain, develop a more intimate relationship with God, and work on my healing. I had to invest in myself first before I could invest in others. There is no quick fix to anything. I am always in a state of evolving and becoming. The investment in me never stops, and it should never stop in you. This work is intentional in becoming and evolving. The Evolution of a Healed Woman, my memoir will be out soon. However, this journal, which is part I, includes specific practices and activities at the beginning of my evolution. I wanted to share this with women who desire to become who God has created them to be. I hope you find value in this spiritual journal as your higher self is waiting for you.
