Help comes to her through Ga Fael Fawr, gatekeeper of the virtual, enchanted world of Aginmare, the forest where Gwendolen's initiation into personal power begins. The gatekeeper gives her a sword of transformation, a weapon forged out of light.

"With this sword you have the power to convert evil. Through it you can find the way to protect your world and those you love. But take heed. The sword cannot be used in violence, or its power will die, and so will the Esoteric, and Genthor will cease to exist."

Yet in the intruder's mind lies madness, an uncontrollable desire for vengeance. How is she to overcome this?
