Most importantly she is trained in a variety of disciplines. Like her trainer, Kay, told her that first evening:

You are not an assassin, but you will have to be better than any assassin.
You are not a philosopher, but you will have to outwit them all
You are not a soldier, but you will have to be better than any soldier
You are not a gymnast, but you will have to be better than any gymnast
You are not a technician, but you will have to be better than any technician

You will have to learn all these skills and be better than the best in the world. There is no other way and the only way that the Protector can do what is her destiny.
This is what her trainer told her that first evening.

She learned and she studied.

But then the Watchers attacked.

Now her mentor and everyone else who knew about her and her mission are dead. She is on her own now and she will have to find out where the headquarters of Infinity is.

But she has the knowledge and the means to do this now and…
