There is hope that George - a young, politically well-placed lawyer - can make a difference. This is not to be as he faces many challenges preventing him from attaining his goal of a democratic and just government. George's journey becomes his present, his past and his future. Each step opens and closes a door to his past, clarifies his present, and determines his future.
