This is the second book in The State of Art, art book series and considers an art form which is close to my heart. Sculpture & 3D, as the title suggest considers art in three dimensions. It represents my own personal appreciation of sculpture and at the same time I hope will provide an effective and affordable platform to help artists promote and market their own current contemporary art practice, as well as showcase examples of their latest work to curators, galleries, critics, other arts professionals and ultimately buyers and collectors. Sculpture has probably changed more during the last thirty years than at any other time in its long 30,000 year history and clearly it continues to change. This book is about Sculpture and 3D art now and attempts to illustrate some of the many forms, styles and 'isms' of art and sculpture that are still being revisited by new and developing artists. It can be used as a catalogue for researching new talent, or simply as a marketing tool for the artist, but ultimately it will serve as a lasting reminder of the work and ideas of some of today's most promising artists.
