A long time ago an entire ethnic group faced mass extinction at the hands of a king who ironically had ancestry in him from this group. This group was called the Sephardic. They fled in all directions, with some moving to France where they met a closely related group called the Zarphatic who were glad to help. To survive, they hide a lot about themselves, these people who did this became known as the Anusim. This book follows the background of one of their descendants and shows how they managed to great an expedition that created Quebec and the foundation of what would later become Canada.
