Eager to move out of the Sinful Inn, Moses May Murphy enlists the help of Ida Belle and Gertie. Surely, they know of housing a woman in Mo's position can afford. Or do they? Just when Mo doubts them, they take her to a little gem of a house and it's right up Mo's alley.
Unfortunately, the previous owner died under conditions only Mo considers suspicious. Darlene was a terrible cook, so no one questioned her death from a burning casserole. But Mo knows better, and it doesn't take long to convince the Sinful women she's right. The real problem is persuading Deputy Carter LeBlanc and the banker to open an investigation.
To catch a killer the reluctant Mo agrees to be part of a sure-to-backfire plan of action that sends her to the Swamp Bar looking for answers where she finds out that, yes, things can get worse!
