Stephan is determined to not let having achromatopsia dominant his life so after aging out of foster care he enrolls at Hunter University to get a bachelor's degree in atmospheric science. On his first day in New York and at Hunter College, he meets Kiddy, an sassy and empathetic student also majoring in atmospheric science. As their friendship gets stronger, they are torn by the struggles of growing up differently than others, navigating college and future plans plus the malevolent discovery of Stefan link to a past event that caused censorship of learning knowledge of the universe in New York City.
